WE ARE NOW CLOSED UNTIL FEBRUARY 2025! HAVE A SAFE BLESSED FALL AND WINTER!!
We sell mulch by the cubic yard. Generally, 1 cubic yard covers approximately 150 square feet at 2 inches deep.
For a more precise estimate, take the length in feet that you want covered X's width in feet X's the depth you want the mulch to be in inches (typically 3 inches). Divide this number by 324 and that is number of cubic yards needed.
Please round up or down to the nearest full cubic yard. We do not sell by the half yard.
A cubic yard is 3 feet X's 3 feet X's 3 feet = 27 cubic feet. You would need approximately 13-1/2 bags of mulch to equal a cubic yard.
A "scoop" is not a standardized measurement. This can be misleading and sometimes used to conceal a small amount.
Our loader bucket is slightly larger than 1 cubic yard. We guarantee our measurement to be at or greater than a cubic yard.
A pickup truck with an 8' bed will haul about 2 yards of mulch and 1 yard of top soil.
Never spread fresh dyed mulch before or during heavy, steady rains.
Always allow 12 hours atleast for dyed mulches to set and dry before rain.
No. Mulch does NOT attract termites. Termites are typically known to tunnel through the earth (subterranean).
